Leah Hodder

Leah Hodder is currently Director of Marketing and Communications at Aberdeen Performing Arts, an award-winning independent charity and one of the largest arts organisations in Scotland, overseeing marketing and communications for three city centre venues, His Majesty’s Theatre, the Music Hall and the Lemon Tree; and three festivals, Granite Noir Crime Writing Festival, True North Music Festival and Light the Blue Youth Arts Festival.

Leah spent time in corporate communications in local government, and in communications, engagement and market development with Zero Waste Scotland, delivering the Scottish Government’s Zero Waste Plan and roadmap to a circular economy, leading the Design for a Circular Economy programme developing business and consumer-facing partnerships across the UK, and brand management for national brands including Recycle for Scotland, Resource Efficient Scotland and Love Food Hate Waste.

Leah graduated from The Glasgow School of Art (BA Hons Fine Art) and the University of Stirling (MLitt Publishing), also studying at the Ontario College of Art & Design, Canada. Leah began her career as a designer for clients such as Routledge, Pearson, Wiley-Blackwell, Royal Institute of British Architecture (RIBA) and the Welsh Assembly Government, moving into marketing and brand management, and is a freelance marketing and PR professional providing services to UK clients in the public and private sector.
