Jane is an experienced Corporate Relations professional and non executive director who has worked in a variety of roles in Scotland and internationally, principally with the global drinks company Diageo. Her early career included roles with Scottish & Southern Energy, Logica (now CGI) and De La Rue.
More recently, as Communications Director for Entrepreneurial Scotland, she led the communications strategy for this new, not for profit, member organisation, formed by Scotland’s leading entrepreneurs. Encouraging entrepreneurship across all sectors is key to Scotland’s growth, never more so than in today’s challenging circumstances.
Her board experience includes Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre, Dundee and Angus College and The Scottish Government’s Board of Trade. A founder trustee of Changing the Chemistry, a charity which encourages a wide range of people to apply for board roles and supports them to perform well once in those roles - she acts as CtC's ambassador for the Tayside area.
Jane has a law degree from Edinburgh University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and is fluent in Spanish. Based in Dundee, she is a volunteer fundraiser for Big Noise Douglas - one of the four orchestra programmes delivered by Sistema Scotland aiming to transform children’s lives through music.
