0131 297 2007
Elisa joined Arts & Business Scotland in 2020 as Partnerships and Development Manager. Her role is to deliver a 3 year capacity building programme for heritage and culture organisations and businesses, developing initiatives and opportunities for cross sector collaboration and engagement.
After studying in Amsterdam Elisa moved to Edinburgh to pursue a career in Scottish arts and culture, having enjoyed an internship for the National Trust for Scotland in Cromarty as part of her course. She started working as Executive Assistant at the Edinburgh International Festival. In 2018 she moved to the Edinburgh International Culture Summit, an event that takes place biannually and gathers Culture Ministers from around to globe at the Scottish Parliament to discuss the value of culture and cultural budgets. Here she was responsible for overseeing the ministerial delegation invitation process as Delegate Liaison Manager. After this, Elisa delivered a project for the Highland Third Sector Interface aimed at building capacity for 17 communities experiencing deprivation in the Highlands with the Highland Community Planning Partnership. A particular focus of this project was reducing inequalities by increasing engagement with the arts.
Elisa has recently joined the board of Regional Screen Scotland. They are probably best known for running the Screen Machine, a mobile cinema, making culture more accessible to remote communities. She spends her spare time working on a number of creative hobbies including stained glass and pottery. Please feel free to connect with Elisa de Waal using the contact information above.
