CBFS Funding Announcement – D-LUX and Jardine Funeral Directors
CBFS Funding Announcement, 4th February 2019
Jardine Funeral Directors has sponsored D-Lux Festival of Light for its third consecutive year. The annual after dark festival on the streets of Dumfries ran from 31 January – 2 February 2019 and this year put the spotlight on the gaming industry, making innovative use of interactive digital storytelling. This cultural partnership was match funded by the Culture & Business Fund Scotland.
Carl Watt, Head of Programmes at Arts & Business Scotland, said:
“It is wonderful that Jardine Funeral Directors has supported D-Lux Festival for a third consecutive year, once again receiving funding support from our Culture & Business Fund Scotland. Their creative partnership not only brings back the unique D-Lux Festival for the people of Dumfries to enjoy but also makes a significant contribution to the creative regeneration of the local area. This is an excellent example of the many benefits that come from businesses and cultural organisations forming lasting relationships and working together to create amazing cultural projects in their local communities.”
