New partnership aims to take stress out of tax for the cultural sector

Arts & Business Scotland is delighted to announce a new partnership with Scott-Moncrieff to improve understanding of tax issues among cultural organisations.

A&BS will be working closely with Scott-Moncrieff, Scotland’s oldest accountancy firm, over the next three years to provide invaluable advice to the cultural sector on an issue which is often viewed as complex and confusing. As part of the partnership, four tax guides - General Tax, Gift Aid, Corporate Tax and VAT – will be produced. These will be accompanied by associated training workshops to fully explain the issues.

This in-kind sponsorship arrangement between A&BS and Scott-Moncrieff sets out to provide charitable cultural organisations across Scotland with the latest information on making the most of the tax benefits they are eligible for.

In addition, Scott-Moncrieff will provide A&BS with the latest news on tax law amendments as they appear. You can read more about the latest advice on Gift Aid and VAT on our dedicated Tax Tips pages.

Details of the training workshops will be published on our events listings.
