The Arts & Business Scotland Awards

About us

Our vision is that Scotland is a nation where creativity and cultural engagement are central to the lives of individuals and the lifeblood of communities, where the arts, culture and heritage are recognised, supported and celebrated as significant contributors to both creative and economic well-being.

Our Awards inspire cultural creativity and engagement

Our mission is to foster dynamic relationships between business, local authorities and the cultural community to deliver ambitious and innovative cultural experiences to the people of Scotland.

Our Awards celebrate inspirational relationships between the arts and business

Every year we recognise these dynamic, uplifting partnerships at our annual Arts & Business Scotland Awards.

Our Awards are a great excuse for a party!

For almost 30 years the A&BS Awards have been recognised as a highlight of the business and cultural calendar, bringing together some of the most influential and key figures from across these sectors.

The event

Our Awards are a true celebration of the partnerships being recognised for their excellence, inspiration and innovation. We’ve moved away from the traditional sit down dinner to allow our guests to network more effectively and simply enjoy the party.

Each year we choose a venue that allows us to properly embrace the ethos that our Awards recognise and celebrate partnerships and projects which are a cut above the rest. We take these collaborations and simply add a fantastic venue, great food and drink and some terrific entertainment for an evening that nobody wants to miss.

The judges

Our judging panel, which changes year on year, consists of some of the most influential names from across the cultural and business sectors. We ensure that both the arts and business are well represented as well as an even geographical spread of individuals to create a knowledgeable and experienced panel.

The categories

There are six partnership categories which recognise collaborative working between the cultural and business sectors as well as additional awards which celebrate key individuals and projects. The categories are:
